While it’s normal to want to get rid of difficult thoughts and emotions, real growth ONLY happens when you learn how to watch your mind doing its ‘thing’, and to give your uncomfortable emotions airtime.

Mindset coaching is the ‘secret sauce’ for learning how to get out of your own way and to re-align with what matters most.

My life must have seemed perfect to others.

I had the architecturally designed dream home at the beach, a husband, (then) two beautiful young boys, and a career I loved.

But I was exhausted, constantly planning the next day’s to-do list.

And while I was good at concealing how I was feeling from others, mostly I hid it from myself. When you’re lying to yourself, there’s no way you’ll ever ask for support.

The only thing I knew how to do was to keep rushing, multitasking, and pushing through.

In the evenings I’d collapse on the couch with a glass of wine (or two…) and the next morning – much like Groundhog Day – get up and do it all over again.

When I look back, I see a frazzled, depleted woman, totally disconnected from her own needs, and unable to say “no”.

Sound familiar?

The answer isn’t running away to join an ashram and even if it was it’s rarely an option. And wishing your circumstances would somehow magically change is foolish.

Living a rich and meaningful life comes down to managing your mindset. And that’s something you do have control over.
