Recently I ran a poll asking if leaders should cover up weakness. 94% of respondents disagreed, while a smidgeon (6%) thought they should. That result wasn’t unexpected, but in my experience the reality is radically different. Just about every leader I work with is hell-bent on hiding their weaknesses. They’ve been convinced by someone somewhere that as a leader they need to behave differently.
